Week eleven update

We celebrated three months of great progress and hard work with an early quitting time today: 3:00 instead of 3:30. Next week Khyber and the REW A-team move to Yountville to start form setting on the Herzog and de Meuron designed Napanook residence, which means work in Mountain View will take on a somewhat calmer pace.
That's not to say there won't be goals and a clear purpose. Both the window and drywall installers are scheduled to start next week, as well as the last of the electrical rough-in. With all of the roofs on the house we can measure and order the flashing, gutters, and standing seam metal. We're putting the garage rammed earth walls on hold until we can free up some of the crew from Yountville.
The photos in this post show the two framed wall elements in relation to the rammed earth. The first photo looks at the north wall of the living room, with the clerestory windows along the top, and the stacking bathrooms on the west side of the bedrooms. The second photo looks through the front door at the steel staircase, and the third photo is the first of the garage walls just after the forms have been removed.
